8/9/2023 0 Comments Forest lawn sample obituaries![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lana stayed home to raise her children until they went to school and then worked at everywhere from a family friends sandwich shop and doctors' offices to delivering mail for the postal service. She was an amazing cook and baker and anyone who knew her will miss her Bundt cake, chocolate pies, and macaroni salad. Lana often took requests from those who came over to eat or just happened to be there at dinner time. ![]() Mom cooked everything in large quantities because there always seemed to be a friend or two over for dinner. Her home was a constant gathering place for family and friends. She served in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations, fed the missionaries often, and was always there when people were in need. Lana was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. Lana had three children (Jeff, Jennifer, and Gina) and five grandchildren (Alex, Jordan, Jake, Joshaua, and Indya). They were happily married for 54 years until Ed's passing in 2016. Lana married Edward Samples on March 31, 1962, in Pasadena, California and were later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in September of 1966. Lana was raised by her parents Walter and Lucille Dailey in Los Angeles where she graduated from Eagle Rock High School. Lana Lei Samples finished her earthly mission and departed this life on October 13, 2021, at the age of 81. ![]()
